Individual Therapy
Assessments helps us to identify your child's strengths and areas for growth.
Assessment results help us to determine the best possible goals to work towards, for your child as an individual.

Assessments can, at times, take several sessions to complete. Assessments involve data collection from several sources such as formal testing, observations and parent/teacher interviews or questionnaires.

Telehealth Services
Talk Joy Speech Therapy are thrilled to be able to offer The Hanen Centre's Parent training Programs "It Takes Two To Talk" and "More Than Words".
It Takes Two To Talk is a program designed for parents of children with a language delay.
More Than Words is a program designed for parents of child on the Autism Spectrum or with Social Communication Difficulties.

Talk Joy is also qualified in the Derbyshire Language Scheme and we are so thrilled to get current and future clients involved in this great language program for our younger clients.
Telehealth systems allow us to conduct speech therapy online, using video conferencing technology. We have the ability to use online programs, engaging materials, screen sharing and shared mouse control in our telehealth sessions.
Dyslexia Screening
Our speech therapists are able to provide assessment to individuals aged 5 -90 years who wish to be assessed for Dyslexia.

Our dyslexia assessment process involves:
- a 1 hour initial consultation
- a screener
- 1-2 assessment sessions and
- either a brief results summary or a full report.
